Japanese smartphone app service Appliv surveyed [J] men and women between their teens and sixties in June of this year that gives us some insight on Twitter usage in Japan.

Here is a summary what they found:

  • 85.1% of teens between ages 15-19 own a Twitter account

  • The largest single audience group is women in their 20s

  • About 70% of teens and 50% of people in their 20s use multiple accounts
